Video: All of the Boozing in Game of Thrones

Characters in the popular science fiction series deal with trauma by drinking, a lot, as this seven-minute supercut shows.

Characters on Game of Thrones face a lot of adversity—bloody murders, loveless marriages, a mythological race of violent humanoids and the wrath of a sadistic child king. Don’t we all. And, like many of us, they tend to cope by drinking alcohol. This supercut has neatly compiled every moment from the first four seasons when a character takes a drink of alcohol from a new glass. Not surprisingly, the video is over seven minutes long—that’s a lot of boozing.

The video even tallies the number of drinks consumed by each family. Tyrion Lannister (played by Peter Dinklage) is known for his heavy wine drinking (possible raging alcoholism, though we won’t judge), putting the Lannisters in the lead, with 103 total drinks. And much of the alcohol consumption in the Stark family, at second place with 16, was forced upon family members. Almost makes your family reunions seem tame.

The video contains no major spoilers, but it will ruin the mystery of whether or not pretty much everyone will get wasted (they will).
