Photos: Inside a Marijuana Grow House Raid
What does it look like when cops bust into your house and bust your grow operation?
Growing and harvesting weed in the privacy of your own home might seem like a good idea. But marijuana is still illegal throughout most of the world, and police take the crime seriously. British photographer David Sillitoe followed a “cannabis dismantling team” on a raid of a grow house in Nottingham. He captures the whole process (below, published in The Guardian), from the busting down of the door, to the ransacking of the entire house–including a child’s bedroom. Ultimately, cops find what they’re looking for, remove the plants, and arrest one guy. At least they were nice enough to put the door back on its hinges before leaving.
