Two in Five Young Adults Are “Digital Addicts”
It sounds like kind of a lowball estimate, but a quarter of all men and women spend an “unhealthy” amount of time online, according to new research. For people aged 18 to 25, up to 37% are defined as being addicted to social media, and felt anxious or upset when they couldn’t get online. Everyone run away from your computers immediately. Hershey Sues Colorado Edible Pot Company
The Hershey Co. has sued a company who makes THC-infused chocolates called Ganja Joy, Hasheath, Hashees and Dabby Patty. They claim the company ripped off Almond Joy, Heath bar, Reese’s peanut butter cups and York Peppermint Pattie candies which, clearly, they did. New Laser Device Could Detect a Drunk Driver From Outside the Car
Polish scientists are developing a powerful new laser-based device that can detect alcohol vapor from outside a car. Sounds helpful, except for the inevitable designated drivers who keep getting pulled over because of their passengers’ booze breath.

New Rehab Alltyr Offers Different Approach to Addiction Treatment
For decades, abstinence-based inpatient rehab has been one of the main treatment options for addicts. But clinics like one that opened last year in St. Paul challenge the norms. At Alltyr, patients don’t live on site, don’t go to group therapy and don’t expect to get sober in 30 days. Instead, they meet regularly with a doctor, receive medication and are treated with a harm reduction approach.

Keith Urban Credits Wife Nicole Kidman With His Sobriety
The country singer says his romance with the actress pulled him out of his drug and alcohol addiction. In his words: “Meeting Nic and falling in love with Nic and starting a relationship with Nic became, I realize now in hindsight, my sobriety. That was how I was able to keep it together.” He also describes her as “celestial,” which could explain why she is inhumanly capable of handling that much pressure.
