Video: Pile of Burning Drugs Makes BBC Reporter Way Too High to Broadcast

We challenge you to watch these outtakes without cracking up yourself.

Maybe BBC reporter Quentin Sommerville should have taken some advice from Bill Clinton. In a video entitled “Don’t inhale,” which Sommerville uploaded as a “Christmas present” to his Twitter followers, the Middle East correspondent is shown in front of a huge pile of burning drugs.

“Burning behind me is eight and a half tonnes of heroin, opium, hashish and other narcotics,” is all he can blurt out before the cocktail of drug fumes billowing around him gets to his head and he cracks up. Even the cameraman can’t control himself, and subsequent attempts lead to even more giggles.

We don’t know whether he finally managed to record his piece, but Sommerville said on Twitter that after a “year of bullets & bloodshed. You’ve earned a xmas laugh, at my expense.” Cheers!
