Video: This Beer Commercial Wins the Fourth of July
Stephen Merchant gives America a bloody good talking to on behalf of Newcastle Brown Ale.
As a Brit who spends his days surrounded by Americans and his nights drinking Newcastle Brown Ale, I’m biased. But while there are times to highlight the power of Big Alcohol and the health impact of drinking, there are also times to say, That’s a bloody good commercial.
Stephen Merchant, co-writer of The (original) Office and co-star of Extras, eloquently explains how much better America’s legal system, food and swearing options would be had Britain won the American Revolutionary War. Bravo! (Disclaimer: I am not sponsored by Newcastle Brown Ale, though I heartily wish I were.)
